My granddaughter (age 7) is with me for a week during her school's Spring Break. She has only seen the ocean three times. Today was the first time I've been able to get her to join me in the surf. Based on the smile on her face, I'm pretty darn sure she had a good time.
These pictures were taken at Dillon Beach, CA, exactly 20 miles from my front door. Today, life was a beach and what a relaxing beautiful day it was!
If you haven't taken a day off lately to play hooky ... then grab your calendar and make a date. I feel like my batteries have been recharged! I'm sure the vitamin "D" didn't hurt either. And now ... I have a whole bunch of sand to extract from clothes, shoes, blankets and a 7 year-old who had the time of her life with her "Nana Boo".
